Trying To Catch Up
Here it is almost the first of March and we have posted nothing since January 13. Just a little behind.
The ice storm was something else. We lost power about 8:30 PM on January 12th and were out for 11 days. On Sunday we packed up and went to to the Dutton Inn, our favorite place to stay in Branson and spent 8 days. We came back to Ruth's parenets place on the following Monday. Their power was on, so stayed there Monday evening. On Tuesdsay we went to our home and the power was on. We spent Tuesday evening at her parents home and moved back to our place on Wednesday. It was good to be back home.
My son Mark helped us clean up the yard. What a mess, tree limbs everywhere. Today, Feb 28th, we have the last pile of brush at the street and hope they pick it up soon.
February was a busy month. On Friday the 2nd, we were in Carthage with Canaan Bound and Friends. A Large crowd for it being so cold and they had not cleaned off the parking lot from the snow.
Saturday the 3rd was the first meeting of the Branson Chapter of the CGMA of which I am the director. Had a good turn out and lots of good music.
On Friday the 9th we held the George and Friends singing at College St. Baptist Church in Springfield and for all that has been going on since the Ice Storm we had good attendance.
Friday the 16th we held a George And Friends concert at Morning Star Baptist Church, Crane. The Home cooming was moved to that night in town because of the Ice Storm, and it started snowing before the concert begain, but we still had a good evening.
Thursdy evening the 22nd we enjoyed the Crabb Family again in Lebanon, Friday the 23rd it was Kingsmen and Gold City in Springfield, Saturday the 24th we were in Branson with the Gospel Praise gathering, and on Sunday evening the 25th we drove to Purdy to enjoy the evening with Kevin Spencer and Friends. It was a good evening.
Several van loads came from Branson and after the concert we
went to Cassville, and had Pizza. WHAT A MONTH!!!!
