Busy Weekend

This past weekend was the Apple Butter Makin' Days (ABMD) and the monthly singing over/up/down (wherever it is) in Carthage! First of all, on Friday, we got up around 6-6:30. Yes, very early for me anyway! Then we went to Mount Vernon, MO for the well populated ABMD to set up the tent with the very well appreciated help of Bro. Bill Hathaway. (Actually it was more like us helping him, since he is the one who got all the ABMD stuff ready to go out there!) We were there from about 8 in the morning to about 5:30 in the evening. After that, we rushed right over to the Church in Carthage, which, by the way, we were practically half way there already.
We had a great night as Donna Douglas (Elly Mae Clampet on Beverly Hill Billy's) was there. She's a very sweet and well profound Christian who gave an excellent testimony of her life and how she got the role on the show. She's still got her wits even in her 70's and she's still got her whistle! We sang and Canaan Bound sang (of course) and another very talented group sang. They're called Glory Bound. I was extremely impressed with them! If you ever get the chance to, go see Canaan Bound or Glory Bound, both very good! We went out to eat after that, (I was 'bout starving), and we got home a little after midnight.
Then, we got up, again, on Saturday, about the same time as the day before! Come on I'm just 16 years old:)! But we had a great day anyway. George did the live broadcasting thing out there both days and interviewed people as well. It was pretty neat hearing what some of them had to say. We saw some really good friends out there and thank you all very much for those who went out there and told us how much you enjoy the station! We love getting to go out into the people and hearing what they have to say!
