Fun Branson Weekend
This past Friday and Saturday we had a terrific time in Branson with our GPG friends! Friday night we had our usual Praise Gathering and Saturday we had the usual Songwriter's Showcase at 4:00-6:00 and from 7:00-9:00 or so, we had our Groups Sing. I'm going to try to name off all the people I had written down earlier that I could remember who sang any of those programs, some more that just one program: The Revelators (John, Wilma, Tiffany and Brittany Hile), The Lakins (Tom and Debbie), The Persers (Doug and Lori), Ginger Boles, Carl Hooper, The Cerces (Cliff and Anita Cerce, Terry Yarham), Jaimee Brewster, The Bryants (George and Ruth Bryant, Carol Penick), Randy Plummer, Rick Pifer, Julie Fergerson, JimmyJack, Steve Anthony, DK Brewster, Tony Pippen, Mike Broy, Paul Foush (sp ?), and Lee Rogers. We had a few new comers who I hope will come regularly. You should've been there for each program, but if you weren't I'll hopefully soon (in the next few months or so:0)) have some videos on our YouTube account from last night and the night before, and other GPG's too, I'm sure! I hope I didn't leave anybody out. Well, I guess that about does it for this time around.

Good job, Carol! We really did have a wonderful time of fun, food, fellowship, and a "little" music thrown in here and there... ;-) Some very gifted songwriters, singers, instrumentalists, etc. - we usually meet at Denny's in Branson the last full weekend each month, but they booked two banquets for those nights, and God "gave" us a great place to meet - at the Lodge of the Ozarks right across from Jim Stafford's show (next door to Mickey Gilley's) on the 76 strip. The people who are part of "The Best Is Yet to Come Ministries" and the Branson Gospel Singers/Songwriters Association are our "Branson Family" - that is truly how we feel about them.
What a weekend!!!
