Saddling Up the Family! 2/24/08

WOW!!!! That word doesn't even cut it about the concert last night, but oh well. WE GOT TO SEE THE REGGIE SADDLER FAMILY last night! OK, so maybe I'm just a little excited about that, but too bad, you can't take my joy away! You had to be there, it was amazing! You know what, Reggie is hilarious! He even got the youngens (about 9-14 years old's or so) to go up on stage and do a few things to get involved with the program! You wouldn't believe that even most of the teenagers were actually enjoying the concert! Teenagers!-enjoying a Southern Gospel concert! That's awesome! (I know I'm a teenager, but I'm not normal, I don't normally listen to what most teens listen to these days.) And Reggie had the one's up on stage-if they were bold enough, he didn't pressure them or anything like that (he's not a jerk), to step out in front of everybody and take the mic and say what they were truly feeling about their parents'. It was pretty emotional, especially for a couple of the girls. They were telling them that they were sorry for how they'd been acting and they are going to try to do better and not be so rude, or whatever. It was really good.
Just wanted to let you know about the concert last night, had a great time with some great people/singers/songwriters (Mark Mathes was there, he's the music director at the Church Broadway Baptist here in Springfield, Missouri, he wrote a few Gold City songs, Reggie Saddler Family songs, Lesters, etc.)
