Remembering a Legend

If any of you are familiar with any Gospel music, surely you know already who I'm talking about without me even saying her name! I remember we were in line at wherever it was we were eating when we got a phone call from a good friend of ours on Mother's Day. I don't know about you, but hearing about a very special lady's death just kind of kills my appetite. I, along with my Mom, wouldn't have minded to have just gone on home, but we really were hungry, and we already had our name on the list, so we decided against it. And plus, George HAD to eat! So, we just stayed, but we weren't all that talkative, which is pretty shocking for George! If you don't know what I mean, you don't know George!
Another thing that was SO shocking is that it happened HERE in Missouri, NOT TOO FAR from Springfield! And another thing, if you've read some of my more recent blogs in the past month or so, you'd see, that we saw her in person TWICE in one week, 2 1/2-3 weeks before she went home to the ONE she'd wrote about all these years! She's now truly Beholding Him face to face right now! And now, along with her "Momma," she is "Teaching Angels How To Sing" as well!
Yes, we will all miss her, but to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!
RIP Dottie Rambo
Until we see her again, we all need to keep on singing her songs and keeping her memories ALIVE! But most of all, just keep singing and teaching and Preaching and Leading (and you can go on and on) about the ONE she wrote about, our SAVIOR AND LORD!

Love y'all,
Carol L. P.
