Gospel Praise Gathering August 29-30, 2008

WE HAD CHURCH! Wow! What an AMAZING couple of nights! Great singing, fellowship, ministering, laughing, fun filled Friday and Saturday!(My Grandma and Grandpa also went, and they really enjoyed it too!)
Started off Friday night with the Praise Gathering, which has a variety of all sorts of groups/soloists singing originals and popular Southern Gospel/Gospel songs. Groups/soloists such as The Gospel Praise Gathering Trio (Jaimee Brewster, Julie Renee, and Randy Plummer), Jaimee Brewster, Julie Renee, Randy Plummer, The Revelators, The Lakins, Percer Melody, Linda Henson, Tony Pippin, Marlene Pelt, Carol S. How, Sally Niner and friends :) (you'd just have to come to the Praise Gathering to know who I'm talking about), Precious Jade, Rick Pifer, Bill Brooks, and others. I hope I didn't really leave anyone out...Branson Garden Inn is such a blessing to us to let us have our singing there each month in the conference room! And it was so good to meet Chris Barnes, who was there visiting his dear friends, The Revelators. For those of you who don't know who Chris is, he used to be Dottie Rambo's product manager...I believe that's what he did... And also, Karen Peck and New River stopped by, and the organization (Branson Gospel Singer/Songwriter Association) inducted the group as a life-long member with a plaque. It was good to see them there!
The next night...same place, we started off with the songwriters showcase, which is where the songwriters get to do just that...showcase the songs they wrote. It basically the same people, just different songs! Same with the next showcase, the Variety Showcase. There were a few more people including ones like Paul Rauch, Bob Morse, and and Jennifer McClure.
The meeting is the last FULL (except Sunday) weekend of the month.
