Update On The Bryants :)

Well, it's been a while since I've done this, so we figured we'd let y'all know what's going on!

We had a busy first five months in 2011, finishing up in May, then we decided to take a little time off to readjust and learn some new music. Plans were to get back on the road between June/July. But at the end of June, George came down with a bad infection in his left knee, which had been replaced in January of '09. So on July 12, 2011, they had to remove the knee and put in what they call a block with antibiotics in it. They also started him on a 6 weeks iv antibiotics program, taking it once a day. And I was trained to do it, so I got to help with it! :)

With the different knee, George was barely able to get around with the walker and had to wear a brace on it...so our activities were very limited.

George went back to Columbia, MO to the doctors on the 23rd, (yesterday), and told him as of the 25Th (tomorrow) that he's to stop the antibiotics and have the pic line in his arm removed.

The knee surgeon thought the knee looked great and probably all the infection was gone, but wanted to wait about a month to check to be sure that it was all gone. So we'll go back up near end of Sept. to check back on it, and if there's no infection then they'll schedule him to come back in a few weeks to put a new knee in.

He'll probably have several weeks recuperating from that, so it looks like it'll be close to November before we can get back into our full-time ministry activities.

We have a few limited dates here in MO and in OK that we should be able to do.

It's only been in the last few weeks he's even been able to get into his office and to his computer at all.

So we hope soon we'll start releasing a new song (that I wrote) to radio stations.
We will also start sending letters to pastors all around the country and start scheduling services for Nov. and Dec. 2011-2012.

Since I'll be starting college in the Spring, we'll probably just be able to travel weekends.

GPG weekend (Fri&Sat) April 29-30, 2011-Branson Night Light

Had a good time with some ole friends and making new ones at the same time.
Line-up for Friday night: Bob Morse, Us (The Bryants), Charlie Norman, The Willhites, Dee Froneyburger, Jerry Piper, Vivkie Lynn Findley, The Lakins, D.K. Brewster, Laura Tatum, Julie Reneé, 4 His Glory, The GPG Trio, Mark Dean, John Fisher, Tony Pippen, Brent Easley, Eddie Williams, The Family Circle, and Randy Plummer.
Saturday (Songwriters and Variety gathering): The only different ones (that I got down anyway) were Paul Rauch, Jesse Ellen Pits (sorry if I got her name wrong...), Andy Fauth, Donna Fisher (John's wife), Lonnie Piper (Jerry's wife), Ginger Boles, The Barnetts, and Voices of Glory (all three of them were able to sing this time)!

Of course, on Friday night, after the singing, we went over to Barbara Fairchild's Diner (a whole few feet away from the Night Light, Ha ha) and had some really good food!
We were able to stay at Treasure Lake this past weekend, and it was wonderful and relaxing. Didn't have to rush around or anything of the sort!

Sunday, April 24, 2011 (Easter)-Living Waters Family Worship Center and The Lighthouse Church

Easter is my all time favorite holiday! I know, most people it's Christmas, Thanksgiving, or maybe even halloween (:( ...I don't like halloween). But to me, Easter is truly special (although, I do like the other two I said as well)!

We went to George's hometown for Easter to sing, both morning and evening services!
For the morning service, we went to George's daughter (Kathleen) and her family's church. Well, it's the church that they attend regularly. :) Which was Living Waters Family Worship Center, where Brother John Kelley pastors.

After church Sunday morning we went over to another one of George's daughter's house (almost the whole family on the Bryant side, most of George's kids...he has 7).
Even though it was rainy and dreary that day, we had a great time at her house (I think about 40 people in the house!) Had a cook-out (it was under a roof of some sort though) and a bunch of great food!

That evening we went to The Lighthouse Church where Brother Greg Thompson pastors. George has known Brother Greg for many years! There may not have been that many at the church that evening, but we still had a very good and blessed service! In the break time, we had some refreshments even! Ha-ha! :)

Needless to say (but going to anyway!), we had a really good Easter Sunday!

April 16, 2011-Gospel Music Hertitage Association

What a great time we have each time we go up to Edgerton, MO (suburb of KC, MO) to sing at the Gospel Music Heritage Association! Mrs. Shirley Kimsey does a wonderful job at keeping the association together and going! I believe it's about once or so a month they have a group/artist singing there.
I believe this was the third time we sang up there at the place where the singings are.
That was on Saturday night, so we just stayed the night and went to church in KC the next morning. We went to Bannister Road Baptist Church, where Brother Dwight Scott Pastors. It was such a friendly church, such kind people.

The Pastor from out there, Brother Bob Sharp, and his wife (Mrs. Elaine) had went out of state to visit their kids and their new grand baby (first time to see the baby) and so he asked George if he could fill in for him in the Sunday morning service. (So of course George did, Lol) :)
I always like going out to that church, friendly people. Really pretty auditorium, that I'm becoming really used to! We didn't sing yet again this time, but George did preach for the morning service.

March 19, 2011-Edgerton, MO-Gospel Musical Heritage Society

Wow, what a long, but great day we had a couple weeks ago! About a 7-8 hour round trip, up to Edgerton, (just north of Kansas City), and back down to Springfield! We sang about an hour and a half in all, and listened to some other great artists and met some really great people.
The Liberty Belles, Ambassadors of Grace, Steve Perry and Allen Burch also sang and all did a really good job too. :)

All in all it was a pretty productive and blessed day!

March 13, 2011 Fundamental Baptist Church Pleasant Hope, MO

It was another wonderful service this past Sunday morning in Pleasant Hope, MO. This was the first time we'd ever been out there and it was great! Just so happens, an old hairdresser I used to go to, (she's not old, I just don't go to her anymore...Lol...she moved), goes to this church! She came up to us after we sang and introduced herself, and I was a little surprised, but it was really neat getting to see her again!
We sang during the Sunday school service and then just a few during the morning service. George preached for the service, not too bad... Ha ha. :)

February 27, 2011- Sunday Morning, Journey Christian Church

I (and my mom and George) had a really good time Sunday at Journey Christian Church, very nice people, and the Pastor too, was a great guy. We sang most of the service, and they all didn't even try to leave while we were singing! Lol. No, but seriously, I may not have been feeling well that morning (and neither was my mom), but we still did the best we could...as long as GOD was blessed, that's all that matters. (Well, and I hope that we blessed someone too!) :)
A couple of George's kids (and their spouses) were there too, and it was just a really good morning!

Well, I'd probably better get off here! Ha-ha.

GPG Friday-Saturday February 25, 2011 (Branson, MO)

AMAZING weekend, (like always, but just seems to get better and better each time)!
The line-up for Friday night was: GPG Trio, Delivered 24/7, Dee Froneyberger, John Fisher, Curtis Thomas (new), Level Ground, Brenda Harris (new), Randy Plummer, Mark Dean, Roy Roberson (new), Bill Burns, 4 His Glory, The Bryants (us), The Lakins, D.K. Brewster, Miss Keely, Tony Pippen, Charlie Norman (Charlie and His Angels), Lucas Ciliberti (new), Jaimee Brewster, Gary Yarbrough, Bob Morse, and Julie Reneé.

Friday night is always a truly good time with friends/family! (Well, so is Saturday night too!)
Each month after the Friday night singing we all usually go on over to Barbara Fairchild's Diner. They some really good food there! I normally get the chicken salad sandwich (so delicious!) :) And then, they've 10 artists (whether they already sang that night or not) draw numbers (well, more people can draw names, but the other pieces of paper are blank) to sing.

NOW TO SATURDAY.
The line-up has a lot of the same people from the night before, but there were a FEW more people that sang in the 2 gatherings on Saturday. The people that were there Sat. that weren't there on Fri. were (or some of these were there the night before, but on Saturday they sang solo's/in different group): Joe Chambers, Joy Goines, Jeni Hill, Andy Fauth (and his brother Steve), (Bob) and Judy Morse, Tom Lovato, Linda Henson, Paul Rauch, Art and Bobbie Stone, The Willhites, Gary Dooms, and Voices of Glory.

Needless to say, (but going to say it anyway, lol), it was a very busy and great weekend!

35th Anniversary Immanuel Baptist Church (Nixa, MO) February 20, 2011

What a beautiful church in Nixa! The Pastor there is now (and has been for the past 5 years) Brother Nathan Beal. He and his wife are really sweet as well as their parents (The Beals, Missionaries to Japan).
We sang several songs (about 30 minutes worth) in the Sunday school hour, then a few during the service.
We really appreciated and "enjoyed" (not sure if that's necessarily the right word to use) Pastor Nate Beal's preaching. He made some really good points on foundations as a church, but mostly all the foundations from all the Christians for the past 2000 years that have led the way for all of us today.

Crane Bible Baptist (Crane, MO) Sunday 1/30/11

GPG Branson monthly singing January 28-30, 2011

Friday:
What a fantastic weekend we had this past weekend!
We finally have settled (for now) into a nice facility for the GPG each month! It's called The Night Light "The Beacon Of Branson". It's a Christian place for night people, really thoughtful. (No drinking...)
We had such an amazing time with just a great line-up!
Who sang: Brad and Tana Bolin, The Willhites, Jack Freeman, Charlie Norman, Us...lol, John Hernandez, Stu Martin, The Lakins, Scotty Nalli (sp?) (and his 2 sisters), 4 His Glory, Mark Dean, Jaimee Brewster, Rachelle (and Mark) Bryant (George's oldest son and daughter-in-law), D.K. Brewster, Julie Renee', The GPG Trio, Tony Pippen, Randy Plummer, Ginger Boles, Joe Chambers, Bob Morse, Voices Of Glory, Eric Hinson (and his group), and Aaron Walker.
About the new artists:
There were a few new artists, as well as of course regulars. Like I said in previous, Rachelle Bryant is George's (newest) daughter-in-law, and wow...should definitely hear her sing! :) (She and Mark and Aaron's in a band called Rushing Wind, a contemporary Christian group.)
I don't know if any of you watch "America's Got Talent" or not, but "Voices of Glory" was (a couple years ago) in the top 5 on there. They're so great!
Hinson's a name you may be a little familiar with, and for good reason...The Hinson's was some of Southern Gospel's top family groups. Ronnie and Kenny had another brother that didn't sing with them, and he has a son names Eric. So yes, Eric Hinson is most definitely related to "The Hinsons", the family that the Southern Gospel family loves so much...He and his wife, and another guy (sorry, don't know his name) sang a few songs, and just wow...(The Hinson sound...)

Ok, now to Saturday. The songwriter's showcase was earlier in the afternoon, then in the evening was the Variety Gathering. I'm not going to go through who was there too (just look at the list, and that was basically it...)

Sunday: Since they were renting the Night Light for the whole weekend, they figured they might as well use it on Sunday too, so from 2-4 they had several (of the same) artists come and sing, and it was still just really great!
We didn't sing on Sunday, in fact, my Grandma and I were the only one's that went...but I still had a great time just sitting and relaxing and LISTENING to everyone else sing... :)

Branson Luncheon January 17, 2011

We had just a fantastic time at the luncheon half a month to a month ago! (Sorry, at least I don't have a whole lot of blogs to catch up on.) :)

The Special guest for this luncheon was Chuck Crain, great singer. You may know him from The Presley's show in Branson, Missouri; he sings in the Southern Gospel quartet that sings on the show.
Two of the other artists (if they're the only others or not, they're who I remember), other than us of course :) is, Mark Dean and Andy Fauth.

GPG (Saturday&Sunday) Dec. 4-5, 2010

Oh, well, we always have such a great time here! We didn't get to go to the Friday night GPG, (and you can read about that one on the blog previous!)
I don't have anything with me right here to help direct me in who was there that night (and it was nearly 2 months ago, so sorry that I've forgotten who all was there!)
But, we were there along with several other artists having a splendid time!
Then, the next day (Sunday) several artists went to a nursing home (some did more than 1) and sang "Carols" (Lol) to the residents within. It was a really touching time, especially with one certain lady. She would stand up (and even dance a little) and direct us singing. Made you (well, me anyway) think that she was probably either a director or at least really into music when she was younger. A lot of the people there I pondered what they've all gone through, it was very inspiring to this young girls heart. :)
I just hope that when I get to be elderly, that people (like the GPG singers) at least would come visit me...

Afterwards, we went to where we had been having out Praise Gatherings (which was our last time in that building) and had a little "Christmas party"!
We had a gag gift exchange (I got lotion...) and food of all kinds (especially sweets!) All in all, it was definitely a really great time

(P.S...If I'm mistaken and the nursing home was later than what I put on here, I'm sorry, but like I said earlier, I don't have anything here to tell me otherwise!)

Christmas in Carthage December 3, 2010

We had a pretty good time for the Christmas Carthage singing. Crawford&Company, (Most of) Ninth Hour, and the Revelators, (along with us of course), sang.
The reason I put "most of" Ninth Hour, was that BJ (the baritone) had to do something for school, so he had to miss out on the singing. They still did a great job, course everyone missed him too...
Crawfords did well, as well.
And we always enjoy getting to meet up with The Revelators! :)

This will be the last blog for Carthage for a while. The reason we'll not be going for some time now is just that we're trying to cut down on our gas expenses.

Central Baptist Church November 28, 2010

We really had a great service at the church where my cousin's father-in-law pastors! Lol, he's a nice guy. The church was celebrating their 28th anniversary, and the Pastor, Brother Bob Burnett, was celebrating being there for 12 years on that very day!
We sang a few numbers for the morning service, and were invited for the evening service, so we sang a few more that night! They had some terrific food afterwards as well for the whole church!

Crane Bible Baptist November 14, 2010

We didn't sing at all that morning, but had a good Sunday School and Sunday morning service still.
George preached in the morning service because the Pastor, Brother Bob Sharp, and his wife went down Texas to visit family.
We usually do sing when we go out to their church, but I ended up being sick that weekend. (I had sung the past couple of days in Branson with a bad cold, so I took a little break...) :)

GPG Friday/Saturday November 2010

Hey, y'all, just wanted to update you on the latest GPG that we had last weekend! (I know, I'm a little late getting this out.)
We had a fantastic time both Friday and Saturday with a bunch of new people (and a lot of the same people)!
The Friday nights are sort of like a "Gaither homecoming style"...where the singers sit up in the "choir" and the audience sits out where the audience does! :) This event usually starts at 7 PM.
On Saturday afternoons/evenings, we start out with the songwriters showcase, and then we eat at 5. They always have a really good meal, and it's only $5 per person.
Then The groups gathering starts at 7 PM.

Trace Ridge Bible Church Sunday November 7, 2010

We always Love getting to sing/preach...(only George preaches, lol)... for these people! We get to go down every year! My mom and George have been going down there since 2004, but I wasn't with them at the time. My first time down there was the next year, 2005, when I was just 14 years old, (at that time, it was just George and me singing duets). We've been coming down every year since then, too!
About the very first time mom ever sang with us was down there, and there are so many stories to tell about going down there!
This year, though, there attendance was practically doubled since the last time (last year) that we were there, and it was great seeing that many people there!
Thanks goes to Brother Ken and Mrs. Jeanie Madewell! (And sorry if I spelled your name wrong!)

GPG On the Road in Buffalo, MO Saturday November 6, 2010

There were several of the main artists there that are usually at the GPG each month. However, it was still really good to hear each of them (course we sang too, as well as the night before, in Carthage). Almost everyone (solos/groups) sang three songs and no matter who it was, it wasn't boring. The first group (us, :P) was questionable, but everyone else sounded great!

Carthage singing, November 5, 2010

We had a fun time over in Carthage this past Friday with Crawford and Company and Donny "Sax" Sanders.
I always enjoy getting to be there when Donny's there, he's just a great guy! He plays a couple different saxophones and a saxello. He has a really good story that goes with each instrument, but especially the saxello.
We had a busy weekend...this night was just the beginning of it all! :) But it was a really good weekend anyhow.

Recording with Larry DeLawder October 26, 2010

We, The Bryants, had a great time recording this past Tuesday night! It wasn't our first time to record, but we haven't done it a whole lot, so it's still a little new!
D.K. and Sherrie Brewster (and their grandson Kade) came out to hear us record the song, "He's Enough," and we really appreciate it. They're the one's who got the schedule down, after all.
Larry DeLawder, great guy, also plays Barney Five (hilarious) was the producer/arranger of the track and recording. Even though I wrote the song, he's the one who put the track together and all. He even added a little Barney Five while talked.
It was definitely a memorable time!

GPG 10/22-23/2010

What a great weekend this time of the month usually is.
This was the last month for it to be in the location of the Ramada Conference Room. Starting next month, it's going to be held just a few buildings away. If you have any questions, just go to http://www.yettocomeproductions.com/ and I'm sure there's someway on there to contact someone, or directions. (Or if someone from facebook's reading this, just contact George, Mom, me, Sherrie Brewster, or Debby Lakin...somehow we'll get you the directions.)
Anywho, back to the topic. There were several new artists, as well as some of the same ones that's there monthly. It was good getting to see new faces and meet new people, as we seem to do each month. According to some of the people that checked out the other place (where we'll be starting next month), it's going to hopefully have more room in it, which will be good for such a growing organization.
Friday night was the Praise Gathering, which starts 7 PM each time. The next afternoon/evening is a little different, and a little bit longer. The songwriter's showcase starts at 3, but sometimes we're a little behind and start around 3:30...so between 3 and 3:30 (PM)! :)
Then we eat at 5 PM (never have had anything bad to eat!) Someone (usually Julie Renee' and her daughters, and Debby Lakin, and Linda Henson do the meals. It's $5 for the meal, drinks, and dessert. The meals are always different each month, but always great! (And usually they have something with meat, and also an alternative for vegitarians, or more picky ones.)
Then the groups gathering starts at 7 that evening. And it's always such a great time, and I hope y'all can come join us next month!

Bethel United Methodist Church October 17, 2010

Wow, what a long, yet great day! We started in the morning (mom was back from Argentina finally), singing a few during the morning service. Then I sang my solo (one of the two...the usual one) for their communion. I'm just being honest, it was the first time I'd done that, but it was an experience (it wasn't awkward or anything, just different).
Mrs. Crystal Wicks is the Pastor, but they had a special guest Speaker, Sandy Nenadal.
Since the church was celebrating their 125th anniversary, they had special things that day (hints as them inviting us to sing at their church and the guest Lady Reverend, the District Superintendent).
But the special things also included a singing in the afternoon at the church. Everyone who sang was great. There were a few kids from the church who sang and they were so cute!
Then there were those of us who sang that Mrs. Crystal knew from the monthly Carthage singing. We sang and then Crawford and Company sang too. Ninth Hour did a fantastic job (of course), and so did Duke Mason! She also had former pastors (and even a son of a deceased former pastor) come to speak for a few minutes each.
To say the least it really was a great day!

Friendly Northside Baptist Temple Oct. 10, 2010

I always enjoy getting to go to Friendly Northside Baptist Temple. The Pastor, Paul Hathaway, and his wife are great people.
My mom still was gone down to Argentina that morning, so it was just George and me that sang that morning. It was really strange each time we sang without her.
We sang several duets, and then I sang a solo song (the one I've been doing a lot lately it seems, Amazing Grace/My Chains Are Gone).
After the service, Brother Paul took us to eat at a place they refer to as "The Red Barn"? (I believe it is.) It's in Mount Vernon, Missouri, as well as the church. A couple from the church met us there, too. The food was really good, though, too.

Paul Jones's Cowboy Church, Galena, Missouri October 2, 2010

Even if there were just a few that ended up showing up, we had a really good time out there! We had breakfast around 8:30-9 that morning (cooked over the wood fire...really good) and it was breakfast burritos (sausage, scrambled eggs, cheese, tortilla, and salsa)! And for lunch Mrs. Jones made some really great chili (over the fire too)! (And it was chili outside, so it was very fitting!) They even made the coffee over the fire, so George was really glad about that! (He's the only coffee drinker in our house!)
There were a few people who sang, at least one I'd never met before.
It was at the Jones' house, a beautiful piece of property.

Add onto GPG for September!

George read the Gospel Praise Gathering blog and didn't think it completely sounded right...(I knew it didn't...sorry, I did it in a rush :( ). So, I'm adding some stuff onto it (and since I already typed up who all sang before, I'm not going to this time).
Friday night: There was one thing that I wanted to say too, about a certain song that was sung Friday night. It was a song Heather Martin sang, and her mom Cindy Martin wrote, one called, "Heaven's Calling Me"...that had to have been my favorite song that whole night! Was such a beautiful song.
After the singing practically everyone went on over to the Barbara Fairchild Cafe', which by the way has really great food, to eat and fellowship. At the restaurant, Casey Ellison was there! Some of you might know him from the Pierce Arrow show, but if you're like me, then you remember him more from when he sang with Chosen Few! He even sang one of my top 2-3 favorite songs of theirs, "The Little Things"! It was so awesome! There were many of the GPG people that sang as well!
The next day George, my Grandma and I had to go back to Springfield because my Grandma accidentally forgot my Grandpa's medicine. And because of that, we weren't able to make it there for the whole songwriters meeting with Charles Brady and Karen Burka. In between the meeting and the next round of singing for that night, though, we had some really good chili or soup. I personally had the chili! (I believe that's what we had...but maybe that was the month before...feel free to correct if I'm wrong...but nicely) :).
Sunday was beautiful at the Chateau On the Lake. Everybody dressed in their finest, fancy food, really nice setting, awards...you basically get what it was like that night. We (The Bryants) got 1st runner up for trio of the year in the organization (The Best Is Yet To Come). But the award I waited on for most of the night was the Heart of Compassion award...which proves I can keep secrets! :) (I'd known who the award went to since the month prior.) MY GRANDMA & GRANDPA!
Also Sunday night Barney Fife...(sp?) was there! Ha-ha. Terry Sanders plays Barney Fife. He also plays Joan Rivers, which is who he has appeared at the banquet the past few years. He's really good at what he does and stays in character during the whole program! He started talking about my shoes (almost spike heels, about 3-4 inches) and he mentioned that he'd liked them to me, and then said something about them to the audience (since he plays Joan too, those are the kind of shoes he has for "her"). The platform had a few steps on them, and being a "trophy model", I had to go up and down those steps several times in those heels, so after a while I was just tempted to go up the platform barefoot, nobody would be looking at my feet anyway. So I told Sherrie (Brewster) that...(she had already started doing that, she stood behind the podium each time she went up there, so she didn't worry about anyone seeing her like that anyway). She had me go ahead and take my shoes off, and so in between awards she had both us go up there (on the platform) and told everyone that Barney Fife took our shoes! (Sorry that story was so long.)
Ok, so I think I covered a little more about that weekend than in the last blog about it. Hope this one was at least a little bit more interesting! :-D

Carthage singing October 1, 2010

We always have just a great time with this group of people...in the beautiful church building, Fairview Christian Church. It used to be the old Walmart there in Carthage, Missouri, but it's been the church for a few years now.
Crawford and Company sang the songs from their whole new CD, and they are great songs written by Gary Crawford. And Duke Mason...wow, if you ever get to hear him, you won't be disappointed! Especially when you get Gary Crawford AND Duke Mason! It's always hilarious the way Gary's constantly bugging Duke and Duke's ornery too.
There were also Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clinton...no kidding! (NOT the ex-president though...and I can't remember her name, sorry! That's why I put "Mr. and Mrs.") They each have very good voices!
My mom went to Argentina with my Grandma for an annual conference. The church that was holding it this year was the church they started out in when they first became missionaries and went down there (my Grandma and Grandpa), and they were having their 50th anniversary (the church). So, needless to say, (but I will anyway...), my mom wasn't there to sing with George and me. We sang a couple duets and then I sang a solo (Amazing Grace/My Chains Are Gone). What's really neat is that the song I sang "impressed" a preacher there and she asked us if we could sing at her church! Well, it was great!

GPG Friday-Sunday nights

A couple weekends ago was the annual AWARDS weekend for the GPG in Branson. We had a wonderful time Friday-Sunday.
One's who sang Friday night were: Charlie Norman & His Angels, Joe Chambers, Julie Renee', The Willhites, Bill Burns, Sally Niner, The Lakins, Randy Plummer, John Fisher, Keely Jarrett, The GPG Trio, D.K. Brewster, Karen Berka & Friends (and also w/ her daughter Ronda), Jaimee Brewster, Tony Pippen, Bob Morse, The Bryants (us, ;) ), Heather Martin, The Eatons, 4 His Glory, and Ginger Boles.
The one's who sang Saturday night were: (sorry if I forget someone...) Dee Froneyburger, Delivered 24/7, Level Ground, The Bourlands, The Messengers, Joy Goines, Jeni Hill, Joan LaGarce, Cindy Martin, Sharon Parker, Phyllis Weeks, Dr. J.D. Brown, Bobby Dannatt, Mark Dean, Jack Freeman, John Hernandez, John Shoemake, Bill LaGarce, Jesse Markham, and Gary Yarbrough.
Both nights were truly great, but the next night...Sunday night, was beautiful!
The Chateau On the Lake is an extravagant hotel/meeting place. We had our "Black Tie" Annual Awards Banquet in one of their meeting/banquet rooms.

College Street Baptist Church 9/19/2010

Yesterday we had another beautiful service at College Street Baptist. This was the second "Friend Day" in a row that we sang for! (The previous blog shows the other one.)
The Pastor, Garland McGath, preached on Sunday morning, (after we'd sung a few songs...we also sang for Sunday School). Another wonderful service, yet different insights (different preachers) on how Jesus is the best friend you can ever have.
After the service the whole church was invited downstairs to eat a meal that was prepared before and during the service. It was all good!

Shady Grove Baptist Church (Elkland, MO) 9/12/2010

Just a little ole country church, but had a great attendance and fantastic service!
We sang during the Sunday school hour, then a few during the worship service. The Pastor, Brother Michael House (sp? for his last name), preached a really good sermon. It was friend day, so what better thing to preach on that day was the Best friend ever, Jesus!
We went to a park after service with most of the church (guests included) and had some great food, (chicken, bread, potato salad, etc...sorry, my brains not wanting to work that well right now! Lol)
We always enjoy getting to go to Shady Grove Baptist to sing/(George) preach.

Carthage Singing September 3, 2010

And another blog...this should catch me up...for the past couple weeks!
And yet, another great night last night with "Crawford and Company" (used to be Canaan Bound). Linda Simmons was the first one to sing for the actual program (they sang a little before it actually started, just a few hymn choruses for the whole congregation to join in on). She sang a few songs, and then we sang a couple.
The next guy, Ray Hildebrand...you may know who he is. He's the one who wrote (and sang) "Oh Paula" and "Say I Do." He sang both last night...and I actually recognized them both. They also shared a little segment from the Dick Clark show that he, Ray, and a lady sang together and talked with Dick Clark. He was also a pretty nice guy, funny too!
And then Crawford and Company sang, and did a really great job! They seem to be getting better all the time. I'd have to say they have a really good blend.

GPG Friday&Saturday of August 2010 (27th&28th)...and throw in a little surprise!

WOW! Sorry it's been so long since I've written a blog! Since March or so I believe...? Been too long! Lol.
Well, anyway, back to the subject!
We had a great time at the Gospel Praise Gathering last weekend! There were so many new and old faces there, it's hard to keep up with some of their names! Sorry, I'm not going to try to put who sang down (other than The Bryants, course, Lol...us), just in case I forget someone, and I don't want to do that. I don't have the program sheet with me right here, either.
But both nights were great with excitement and fellowship...and food! Ha-ha.
That's the "surprise" part that I had in my title up above. We went to the Barbara Fairchild's Diner afterwards, (she and her husband Roy Morris opened it up especially for the GPG afterwards...), and we were all talking ("fellowshipping...") and waiting for the food when guess who walks in the door? Gold City! Whoa! That was really neat...but not only did they just eat there after their concert that they had...they even sang a couple good ole classic quartet songs up on the stage for us! We got a free little concert by Gold City! :)
Needless to say, just like one of the guys that sang both nights (from one of the groups), if you get the chance to go eat out with a bunc of friends, don't pass it up! You never know who might show up!

Gospel Praise Gathering March 26, 2010

It was definitely an interesting night! It was great, don't get me wrong, but it was little different than it what you may have expected. One of the things at the Praise Gatherings is that you can expect each month to be individually blessed...when God's there, you'll be blessed! There were a lot of the regular artists like...Charlie and His Angels, us (The Bryants), DK Brewster, Julie Reneé, Sally Niner, The GPG Trio, Jaimee Brewster, The Lakins, 4 His Glory, Charlie Norman, and Tony Pippen. As well as groups that have been there quite a bit, but may not always sing each time they're there, or aren't able to make it that often like...Carol Sanquinette How, The Messengers, Sharon Kay, Linda Henson, Bob Morse, Stu Martin, and Ginger Boles. And then there are one's like Joan LaGarce, who's been there several times, but this was the first time for her to sing there. Or Aislinn Henry (isn't her first name like the coolest name?) and Joe Watkins who've been there only one other time. And there's also the newcomers like Levy Q. or Treasures of the Heart (which consists of one's who've been there several times before, but this was the first time I'd personally ever heard them sing together.)
Although it may seem like most of the artists are the same over and over, there really are new one's almost every month, gaining more and more people and listenership. It's always good to be down here with our Branson friends and "family"! :)

Ozark Baptist Home March 23, 2010

I always like going out there to sing to these people. The week prior was the new line-up of songs for the next month of nursing home singings, and George's singing half of them solo! So, during that time, mom and I just sit out in the crowd and listen (well, I click a button to play the next song though too, Lol).
Sometimes singing at the nursing homes can get a little repetitive, but each time we get there, somehow it always becomes a blessing to us. God can bless, even when you least expect it.

College Street Baptist Church 3/14/10

We had a terrific time at the church that Sunday morning. It had been a while since we'd been there. You may or may not remember, but we that's one of the places we used to have our George and Friends concerts. It's an older building, but it really is pretty. They've been working on a few renovations, and when they're done, it'll look really good.
The Pastor (Brother Garland McGath...so sorry if I spelled your name wrong) had to be out of town, (out of state actually) so we came and sang a few numbers and then George preached as well.
Jon Hernandez, one of the guys we know from the Praise Gathering in Branson is the music director there, and so he and his wife were there of course, plus there were several others there that we knew as well.
John and Patti Shoemake, others that we know from the Praise Gathering, came that morning, which was a pleasant surprise. And course, a lady that I grew up with, (she was our neighbor at the house we used to live at), goes there, so it was nice seeing her again, too. And everyone else that was there, thanks!

Branson Radio Live March 7, 2010

Hey! It was such a great experience to be on the "Branson Radio Live" a little over a week ago! There were some great artists...plus we got to sing too! (Lol)
Sorry if there's anyone I forget to mention, by the way.
There were, for the most part, people on the program that I already knew, but there were a few that I didn't know. One's I did know were Brad and Tana Bolin, Lynda and Bud Lynn, The GPG Trio, Julie Reneé, (us, The Bryants), and there may have been a couple more.
But there was one in particular really good group that we'd never met before that was on the same program. New Anointing, if I recall their name right, was great!
Of course everyone else was great too. :)

Carthage Monthly Singing March 5, 2010

The day before my birthday! :)
It was really a great night as there was The Revelators, Duke Mason, Gary Crawford, and us (The Bryants). Part of Canaan Bound...or..."Crawford and Company" had last minute things that they Had to do so only Gary was able to be there from the group.
It may not have turned out like everybody was expecting, but it was still a really time.
It was great to hear The Revelators again, with Tiffany! She couldn't make it the past few times we saw them.
Duke Mason wasn't on the schedule, but it was great anyway! He had accidentally grabbed the wrong CD tracks...so Clayton Watson (a great pianist) came up and played piano for him on a few songs!
And we sang a few songs as well, course!

Christian Health Care East March 2, 2010

We truly did have a good time this month at Christian Health Care East. The attendance in their little room was my mom figured up tripled...but that's not what it's all about. It was just really neat to see every one's reaction to each song, come sing with us, raise a hand, tap a foot...whatever it is that they did. I'm really glad that we started singing at nursing homes each Tuesday (except the rare occasion of 5Th Tuesdays). Even when I don't "feel" like singing...it's always a blessing to see the smiles on each of their faces.

GPG February 26/27, 2010

There's a lot of the same artists' on Friday and Saturdays, so that's mostly why I'm putting both nights/days together. We had a truly great time.
Course there were the usual ones (this was for Friday night)...Randy Plummer, us...The Bryants, Journey On, John Fisher, Jaimee Brewster, D.K. Brewster, Tony Pippen, Sally Niner, The Lakins, Julie Reneé, Phyllis Weeks, 4 His Glory, The GPG Trio, John Hernandez, and Miss Keely Jarrett. But this month there were 4 new artists (to the Gospel Praise Gathering anyway). All four of them were just terrific! There were Gary Yarbrough, Renee Russell, Bobby ("Bobby D") Dannatt and last but most definitely not least The Wilhites. George has known Steve Wilhite since he was just a really little boy! It was really cool to see them there, and hopefully they'll be coming more often too! As well as the others of course though too!
Saturday for the Songwriters Showcase there were The Lakins, Julie Reneé, Sally Niner, us (The Bryants...again...Lol), Level Ground, Renee Russell, The Wilhites, Bobby D, Phyllis Weeks, and Paul Rauch.
For the Gospel Variety gathering...Tony Pippen and the instrumentalists from Level Ground along with Art Stone, D.K. Brewster, John Fisher, us...(once again, The Bryants), Brad Bolin, Level Ground, Jaimee Brewster who sang with a good singer named Mike...(I imagine his last name is Russell...? Seeing as to which he's Renee's son), Sally Niner, Julie Reneé, Paul Rauch, Gary Yarbrough, GPG Trio, Bobby D, Renee Russell, The Lakins, The Wilhites, and Brad and Tana Bolin! Tana wasn't able to be there and the Friday night sing, so it was especially good to see her that night!

Yet To Come Luncheon February 15, 2010

We had a great time with our Branson friends once again! We met some people too!
The one's who sang that day (other than us, course) were Jaimee Brewster, Brad Bolin, and Tim Hadler! Jaimee and Brad sang one together and they each sang a song, I love to hear each sing!
But this was the first time that we'd ever heard Tim Hadler, and we were very impressed! He does a tribute show in Branson to Hank Williams SENIOR; songs such as "I Saw the Light," "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," "Baby, If I Don't Have You," "Waltz Across Texas" and many more! He also does a few other songs, such as one he wrote (which was a really good song), and some other artists' songs, such as one's that were in Hank William's life like Ernie Tubbs, George Jones, Willie Nelson, and there could be more! His show is at the Little Opry Theatre and it's from Monday through Saturday at 5PM. Go see him sometime!

GOLD CITY at RIDGCREST!! February 21, 2010

WHOA! That was a truly blessed night! I hadn't been to an amazing concert like that in quite some time...one that I didn't have to worry about singing at anyway! Just sit back and relax and enjoy the whole thing! Of course we stood at parts, but you know what I mean.
The line-up as of now is tenor~Josh Cobb, lead~Bruce Taliaferro (sorry, I'm sure I spelled his last name wrong...), baritone~Daniel Riley, bass~Tim Riley is back! And he still has it! :) And last, but certainly not least, pianist~Roy Webb!
I'd heard all of them before except Josh Cobb, and I was very impressed! I think he sounds kind of like Terry Franklin (used to sing tenor for Gaither Vocal Band). What do you think? Well, it was a free concert, but you had to have a ticket in advance, and good thing my brother and sister-in-law (and nephew, Lol) go there! They were out of tickets pretty fast! And if you were able to make it that Sunday night, you'd understand why it was "sold out" so fast! But they were able to get some for them and some for us. Some of our cousins were able to be there too! It was fun!
After the concert, Jayla and David (sister-in-law and brother) had bought a Gold City shirt for Joseph (nephew) that had a smiley face on it with "Gold City" written underneath it. They put it on him then got Danny (Daniel) Riley to hold him while they got a picture of the two! It was so so adorable! As cute as the posed picture was though (Joseph actually stared the camera the whole time!), I think the candid shot my mom got was even cuter! Joseph's looking at Danny like, "who are you?" It's so funny! :D
To say the LEAST, it was AWESOME! Sorry if you couldn't come out to this concert, but hopefully next time you'll get to! And don't forget, next time you get the chance to see Gold City, DO! You surely won't be disappointed!

Carthage~Canaan Bound singing~February 5th, 2010

It's still a little hard to believe it's already 2010, isn't it?
This month's singing found a good crowd and a great time! The special guest there once again was Duke Mason. Course Canaan Bound (or, now known as "Crawford and Company") and we were there.
Once again as well The Hiles (a.k.a. The Revelators) were there just to enjoy the singing! :)
Duke Mason and Gary Crawford are always a fun pair to watch, haha. Duke Mason is really a fantastic singer.

Brother Larry Norris invited us a couple weeks ago to sing at their church...but they had to cancel church...(too cold, snowy, icy)...so, he invited us back the next week...same (too cold, snowy, icy)...so he invited us back Today! Yay! Lol, we finally got to sing at their church again! They are really great people, the Pastor, wife and congregation. We sang a few songs in the morning service. Brother Norris is a funny guy, ornery I might add! Ha ha...

Carthage Monthly Singing JANUARY 1, 2010!

Woah...it seems so weird to already be in 2010 doesn't it? I know I'm just 18, but, the saying is true, the older you get, the faster time goes!
We had a brilliant time with The LeCroy Sisters and Canaan Bound this past Carthage singing! And what do you know, John and Wilma Hile (from The Revelators) show up to listen too! It was fun talking to them afterwards too!

This was also the last time for CHRISTmas music for 2009!
When we got there...no really anyone was there, but with each song we sang it seemed like, somebody would come in, in the end, there were several people!

Jordan Creek Nursing Home December 20, 2009

This was the second time we've sung at this nursing home. A few people from the church we go to (Baptist Temple in Springfield) put together this ministry at this nursing home, so they've invited us to come and sing a couple times so far...
I like singing here, this is where my Grandma Penick lives, and it's always good to see her.

Joy Assisted Living December 15, 2009

Close to the last time for 2009 to sing Christmas songs...at the nursing homes. We had 2 more times, but it was all OK! I know, we only sing at 4 nursing homes, one for each Tuesday, and Joy Assisted is the 3rd. BUT, we sang at a nursing home on a Sunday too, but you can read about that in the next blog! :)
So, Joy Assisted Living was good to sing at, and Lord-willing, we'll be singing there again in about a week.

Fair Grove Fundraiser December 12, 2009

We sang at a fundraiser in Fair Grove, at a school there...a fundraiser for a little 1 year old girl. She's been having health issues, very sad. We really need to pray for her and her family. The Mother of the girl is pregnant too...stressful times! I don't know exactly what they're going through right now...(literally, I'm not really sure what the illness is), but I can understand it can be very hard...(Understatement). So please be praying for them all.

As I said previously...on the last GPG blog (the one for November)...this is a special weekend for the most part each time we go to Branson. You may realize (and yet, you may not, here, I'm pointing it out anyway) that we weren't in Branson on the Friday as well as Saturday...that we were in Carthage on Friday instead...yes. They had to move the Branson singing up 2-3 weeks in November and December (like they do every year) because of all the holidays at the ends of these months...(Thanksgiving, CHRISTmas, New Years...). So with that said, it also fell on the same weekend as another monthly singing we do...(Carthage, as it does each year). So, needless to say, we didn't get to make it to the Friday night singing in Branson (but we still had a GREAT time in Carthage...which you should be able to read either in the last or next blog)!
BACK to GPG Saturday night! Ha ha. It was really good to be with them again, with my Grandma and Grandpa too, they about always come to it.

Carthage Monthly singing December 4, 2009

Awesome! That pretty much sums up the night! Awesome, blessed, fun!
All the artists sat on stage (well, unless they were singing, then they were standing)...during the whole concert (except during the break). It was kind of like the Praise Gathering...except different people and different location! Ha ha.
The artists who sang that night (other than us) were The Revelators, Ninth Hour, and course Canaan Bound! All were fantastic! This had to be about the best I'd heard any of these groups at the time!
We each sang a couple non Christmas songs, and then we took a break. Then after the break we each sang 4 Christmas songs...
It was simply awesome that night.

Christian Healthcare East December 1, 2009

My Grandpa was here for a while after he had his hip or knee surgery (can't remember for sure which), before we started singing there each first Tuesday of the month. So, I'd been there several times before we started singing there...so it's neat singing there.
Like I previously have said, we go to this nursing home each first (1st) Tuesday of the month...
This was also the FIRST time we sang our Christmas carols...I'm not sure how we were that first time, but I believe we got a tad better each time we sang them...or at least I HOPE so! Ha ha.
To be "Perfectly Honest," other than for school choir and that kind of thing, (me personally, not mom and George), I believe this was the first time to actually sing Christmas songs in front of people...where people could actually hear me singing them! I think Christmas songs were specifically made for sopranos...(I'm not really a soprano, but I got it!)

GPG November 13-14, 2009

This weekend is one of the highlights for us each month as we get to go down to sing and fellowship with family and friends! The Branson group is such a blessing to be around. There's always fun, laughter, some crying, singing, eating (lol), and just a great time!
Friday night is always like a Gaither's gathering kind of like with all the singers in front of the rest of the audience like a choir (sitting for the most part though) and then whoever the next artist is, they come to the front of the group and sing...
Saturday's is a little different. Saturday's, starting at 3, (I believe), we have a songwriter's showcase. That's exactly what it's titled, it's a program where songwriter's sing songs that THEY have written...then...we EAT! Ha ha. I have never ONCE had something bad to eat that they made! It's only $5 per person, and that's for your whole meal, whatever you want (whatever they have that day) and dessert and drink...it's a really good deal, especially when the food is as good as it always is!
I hope you'll join us each month down in Branson, you won't be disappointed! :)

It was good getting to see Brother and Mrs. Dennis and Rena Metzger! They had a great crowd...attendance that morning and it was just great getting to sing for them!
We were there for the Sunday school (we sang for the church service) too so I went with the younger ones and they were interesting people! Lol. It's always fun getting to see and meet new people, no matter how shy or reserved I may seem, I for the most part really do enjoy meeting new people!

Cherry Street Fish Fry November 7, 2009

Oh, my Grandma and Grandpa go to Cherry Street (Baptist Church) and their Sunday school has a annual Fish Fry (Delicious fish by the way too) and they invited us to come and sing (well, actually Brother John Page did) for it! We had a GREAT time there! When I lived with my Grandma and Grandpa I went to church with them there, and most Sundays I went to Sunday school with them (I'm more of the shy type person, especially with my own age group) so I got to know most of the people there in those couple years or so! I love it at Cherry Street! :)

We had a really great time with these folks singing and all! There were several other great singers that sang that night. We sang several songs too. We ate some really good food that Bill Burns's wife and a few other ladies that go there (to that singing) brought.

Salute To Albert E. Brumley singing; Neosho, MO; October 30, 2009

We didn't sing, but I DID NOT MIND! Lol, we had a good time behind "stage" and all talking with the one's who did sing/played instruments though! There was a fantastic audience that night too. The artists there that DID sing that night were Chuck Wagon Gang (they were the "main" group), Ninth Hour, The Missourians, Canaan Bound, Crafton Trio, and The McCunes! NOT A ONE OF THEM WAS BAD! It was really neat to sing in the "choir" with all these wonderful singers! We knew all (well, we STILL do) all them personally too, so that's pretty cool.
George is pretty good friends with Dave Emory , although I'm not really sure how long they've known each other. And I believe he knows the rest of the Chuck Wagon Gang as well. They were really great as well as the rest of the groups!

Well, I still have at least like...50 blogs to do! (Not really, just seems like it because I've gotten so far behind...this should be fun! Lol)

Salem Christian Church-Weston, MO~October 18, 2009

We spent about the whole weekend around the Kansas City area...(I don't recall actually going INTO Kansas City itself though...)
We were at the Gospel Music Heritage the night before and they were able to get us into a church the next morning and help with directions and all...which was good, because if we went by the directions from Google...we'd been completely LOST! Ha ha. They had the wrong directions on there, it was like the directions to the secretary's house (well I don't really know for sure in this case, but that's what happens a lot of times!) Which I'd think is kind of weird, don't you?
Well, we had a really good time once we found the church though, so all that's besides the point now! It may be a little cozy church, but sometimes those are "funner" (I know it's not a word, so no need to mention it) to be at! And the Pastor's name is Don Bordenaro, a nice guy and family.

Well, to be "Perfectly Honest"...this was the first time I'd ever done a whole hour and a half at least concert (well, we all did), but George I'm sure has before. And I know it was the first time for my mom too though, because I started singing before she did! We've done lots of hour long one's and all, but first for at least and hour and a half! But, it was an experience, and it was good to know that I can last that long outside of practicing! (We have plenty of LONG practices.)

George personally knew the pastor, so that was nice for him to sing at a church that he already knew some people at. Oh, and George's former daughter-in-law and some of her grandchildren (George's great-grandchildren) were able to come out as well to the singing! George hardly gets to see most of his grand kids, so that was really special for all of them!

This weekend (October 9-10) was the Apple Butter Makin' Days, (we only went Saturday), and it was a really nice day. It was really cold on Friday, but Saturday turned out to be a great day to have it! ANYWAY...back to the Church...

OK! Yeah, we try (Lord-willing) to go every month to each of these nursing homes...there's 4 of them all told. But Christian Health care is on the 1st Tuesday of the month. The 2ND Tuesday belongs to Maranatha Village Nursing Home. On the 3rd Tuesday of the month we go to Joy Assisted Living. And then the 4Th Tuesday's are Ozark Baptist Home!

Carthage (Missouri) singing October 2, 2009

There were people there this month...(October) at the monthly Carthage singing. We sang...(and of course Canaan Bound), but the guests were some we hadn't seen in quite sometime! Faith Walkers, a duet of a couple ladies, was one of the guest artists. The other one's though, I'd heard of them...but I'd never heard them before, Bill and Marsha Clinton...(and no...NOT THAT Bill Clinton...Lol)
But of course...Duke Mason was there! Duke always gets the crowd to laughing and having fun...the way he and Gary pick on each other and all!

Shiloh Baptist Temple Harrison, AR September 27, 2009

This was a new place, (unlike the one from the morning service), but it was really nice! It really was a beautiful church and the crowd, the pastor and all were very friendly too. It was kind of weird though, the pastor's parents were there and turns out, his dad goes to a church we were supposed to be at (I believe his dad is actually pastor...) on Easter Sunday, but George, I believe so anyway, had just like broken his legs not long before that, so...yeah, needless to say (even though I will), we weren't able to make it to his church! It's a small world after all! Ha ha.

Trace Ridge Church September 27, 2009

We always have a GREAT time with them! We go to this church yearly, and we always look forward to it! We usually go down (it's in Arkansas) there in August, but this year something came up and we weren't able to for some reason, so we figured another date to go down...so it was only about month and a half or so afterwards! No matter, we had a great time!
And then after church they always (when we're there anyway) have a potluck dinner, and I tell you...they can cook! Lol. They're out in the middle of nowhere practically, they don't have any restaurants within like 20 miles or so from the church, so they about have to do that!

This was really a good day, but we weren't able to stay for the whole event...I believe we headed on down to Arkansas to Trace Ridge Church (which I'm sure will be my next blog...) There were a few other people there that sang that I knew, so that was nice. There were one's like Sharon Bennett, Paul Rauch, Lynda Henson (and her husband), Paul Jones (and his wife)...and there were some I wasn't as familiar with, but some of the others were really good though! We had a good time at the James River Days!

Awards Banquet GPG...September 20, 2009

Well, it was once again a great day for that GPG/Crossroads weekend.
Here I am with the little booklet in front of me that they gave everyone to say who all was going to be there that night...(well, like the one's who helped out, finalists and all...), but there's just too much in here to put it all down! SO, I'll try to fit in everything I possibly can! Lol.
It was truly a night to remember. D.K. and Sherrie Brewster are the one's in "charge" of this particular ministry in Branson that we go to monthly to sing at.
The finalists are...
For Female vocalist there were Ginger Boles, Dee Froneyburger, Sally Niner and Julie Reneé...and the winner is...(drum role)...Julie Reneé!
For Male Vocalist there were Charlie Norman, Bob Morse, Randy Plummer and Ron Stanart...and the winnerS are...(there was a tie)...Charlie and Randy!
For Young Artist there were Miss Keely and Jaimee Brewster...and the winner is...Jaimee Brewster!
For Quartet there were 4 His Glory and Journey On...and the winner is...4 His Glory!
For Duet there were The Eatons, The Lakins, The Messengers and Julie Reneé/Rick Pifer...and the winner is...Julie and Rick!
For Trio there were The Bryants and GPG Trio...and the winner is...GPG Trio!
For Golden Pen Songwriter there were Sally Niner/Judy Morse, Randy Plummer and Julie Reneé...and the winner is...Julie Reneé!

Now for the NEW HORIZONS AWARDS!
For VOCAL FINALISTS there were Paul Jones, Craig Kruse, Laura Mathy, Larry Terry and Don Vaughan...and to be perfectly honest, I'm sorry, but I can't quite remember who won this category, but all them are good!
The GROUP FINALISTS were Paul&Teresa Rauch...and the winner is...well, who else but the beloved Paul and Teresa Rauch! (Lol)
And the one I was excited about...(I still can't hardly believe it)...The SONGWRITER FINALISTS there were Paul Jones, Laura Mathy, Carol Penick {me} and Larry Terry...and the winner is...Carol Penick! It was really neat...to say THE LEAST! I actually saw a glimpse of what the award said before they my name and I'm like..."NO...that DOESN'T SAY MY NAME...DOES IT?!"...and then...they say my name! I'm a little excited about it...

ANYWHO! Well, there was so much that happened that night, it was a truly blessed weekened...evening!

Woah! Well, the title...the name of the church really explains the church! They really are nice people! You always get hugs when you go there...and they're just a great bunch of people! We enjoy getting to sing there, we've sung there before with just us...but we've also sung there with GPG and with the Branson chapter of CGMA (Country Gospel Music Association). This time it was just us, but of course we had a great time anywho!

Hey~! I already wrote about the 19Th of the GPG weekend, and if you missed it, well...it was a few blog posts ago! Lol. It was along with the Crossroads singing, just in case you having trouble finding it!
Well, It was a great time, we had 3 main guests that month (Big Al, Gary S. Paxton, and Charles Brady)...
It was a pleasant time of fellowship, worship, and crying and laughing. Most of the same people were there, plus those special guests that mentioned above, so it was a pretty full night! It truly was good!

Flat Creek Baptist Church September 13, 2009 (in Cape Fair)

It was well over a month ago, and I still remember it pretty well! Just like it was yesterday! (I don't know if that's saying much, seeing as to which I can't always remember what happened the day before...but I do remember it quite well though.)
Brother Scott Buckner is the Pastor, what a great family! He and his family and others from the church went to a couple from Church's' house to eat, and man, can they cook! (Well, I guess it was mostly the lady of the house, but I think others helped somewhat as well.)
We sang during the morning service and had a great time with the people there, and then we went to their house that afternoon. It was really good fellowship and food.

SNYDER MUSIC PARK September 12, 2009

Yes...it's been nearly a month and a half already! And I'm just now writing about it! Ha ha.
We had a great all day singing out at the park (a music park) that day with all kinds of good Southern Gospel music! It went from noon to about 8 o'clock that night! A LONG day! Lol.
BUT, as I said earlier, it was great music...there wasn't a single horrible artist! I'll say I had about 3-4 favorite groups/artists, but I'm not going to say who! They were ALL good! And, the line-up consisted (and it's not in order from best to last or vice/versa either):
The Bryants, Canaan Bound, Ninth Hour, Sister's Twice, Duke Mason, Crafton Trio, Sharron Bennett & Jim Nichols, Brad Bolin (Tana usually sings with him, but she had to work, and we understand that), Steppin' Out Quartet, The Wilhites, The Kincheloes, and Sacred Fire Ministries! (IF I did forget anybody, please tell me! I believe I got everyone!)
Snyder's Park has beautiful scenery. It's just wonderful to work with Virginia Snyder, she's such a sweet lady.

CrossRoads Baptist yearly singing September 19, 2009...and then Branson

A good friend of ours, Michael McClurg, had his annual singing at Crossroads Baptist that day. He used to have them at Wommack Mills, and he'd been doing them over there for 8 years...well, this year was the 8th annual singing. He just wasn't able to have them at Wommack Mills anymore, but at least he's still able to be doing them! We had been in Branson (which I'll write about that later) for the weekend (Crossroads is I believe 80 or so miles away from Branson! lol), so we went to sing for the Crossroads singing and then went back to Branson to finish the weekend there. There were also a couple other people that sang there at Crossroads who's also from the monthly singing in Branson (Paul Rauch and Linda Henson), but we were ALL able to make it back to Branson for most of the rest of the day...
We always have a good time at Michael's singing.
When we got to Branson, we went and got my Grandma and Grandpa from the hotel room. We'd missed some of the meeting, but I think we probably got the main jist of what the meeting was all about when we got there. Big Al, Gary S. Paxton and Charles Brady were having a little meeting at the place where we have our singing for songwriter's (they've started doing this every year, this was only Charles 2nd time and Big Al's 1st time), and it is pretty informative if you need that type of info...(and also some about how to get it published and all of that...)
And then after that, they had a special concert...the finalists in the songwriters sang a song or two that they wrote! (oh, we also ate in between times...VERY GOOD FOOD!) And they also had a couple of special people from Branson come and perform! It was good to just sit back and relax!
SO, our day on Saturday was pretty long, but it was fun enough!

There's always some of the same people, but it always seems there's always new people there too! We always (Lord-willing) sing at Joy the 3rd Tuesday of the month!

MorningSide September 11, 2009

This was a special...yet sad day for America, 2001. Yet we do mourn sometimes for the lost lives, and still pray for the families most affected by the events on that day, we thank GOD, for people started getting on their knees and going to church more...but what happened? You don't see that anymore...have people forgotten? I sure hope not, but it seems that way...

Well, on a lighter note, we had a sure great time singing there that night. (Morningside is where Jim Bakker's show is...for those who didn't know that)
We sang...obviously, Lol. BUT other than us Marcey Wall and the sound guy Mark sang too! I love to hear both of them sing! To say the least, it was a pretty memorable night... :)
